Nettle Tonic
a tincture of nettle leaf and seed in organic alcohol with nettle flower essence
Despite its sting, nettle is a much-beloved plant among any herbal medicine maker. Nettle’s vivid green leaves are filled with nutrients and healing properties are said to include support for allergies, inflammation, upper respiratory health, bladder irritations, and prostate enlargement.
But the benefits don’t stop with leaves—nettle seed is considered to be a Western adaptogen that supports the endocrine system and adrenal glands. Maybe this is why people say they feel relief from SAD and general fatigue when they add nettle seed to their diets!
To make this a true healing tonic, I also added nettle flower essence to provide energetic nourishment and healing on subtle body levels.
This nettle tonic is a tincture of spring-harvested nettle leaves and autumn-harvested nettle seed, along with the nettle flower essence. The nettle in this tonic was lovingly grown on my own organic urban farm, and the alcohol used is 100% organic grape alcohol.
To Use: take 1-2 dropperfuls up to 4x day*
*many people find that nettle is somewhat energizing and prefer to take it only in the morning—see what your body tells you :)
